This Stevens manufactured late variation receiver is for the later model 235 hammer double shotgun and is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with light wear and traces of original case colors in protected areas. This is the only part on the model 235 hammer double shotgun that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. (file photos)

Note: The late variation model 235 hammer double shotgun has the model marking on the belly of its receiver, has a number of different internal and external parts when compared with the early variation model 235 hammer double shotguns and are stamped on the left side of the receiver: "J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. / Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A.".
